Garage aprons
On newer Basehor homes, the panel nearest the garage usually sits on the loosest soil on the lot. When it drops, it leaves a lip at the door and can send water back toward the garage. Lifting brings it back into line with the floor.
Polyfoam Concrete Lifting · Leavenworth County
Basehor has grown from a small crossroads town into a busy Leavenworth County community, and many newer homes are already seeing their concrete settle. Metro Wide lifts driveways, walks, patios and garage floors with polyurethane foam injected through small ports.
Concrete Leveling Near You
Basehor sits in southern Leavenworth County along US-24/40, west of Kansas City, Kansas. Over the past few decades, much of the farmland around it has been developed into subdivisions, and a large share of Basehor's homes were built from the late 1990s onward. The Falcon Lakes golf community and newer neighborhoods near 155th Street sit alongside older homes in the original part of town, and acreages fill in the countryside beyond.
That age profile shapes the concrete problems we see. Newer driveways and patios settle as fill around the foundation compresses, and walks along the front of the house tip toward the wall or drop at the stoop. Homes with backyard pools and large patios have more slab area sitting on backfill, and larger lots on the edges of town often include long drives and outbuildings.
Foam leveling lifts intact slabs back into position without demolition, so you keep the concrete you have and avoid a torn-up yard, a dumpster in the driveway and days of waiting for new concrete to cure. Residential work is backed by our 2-year warranty.

Basehor sits roughly 20 miles west of downtown Kansas City, well inside Metro Wide’s 75-mile coverage radius. Scheduling depends on the address and the size of the project, and a remote quote from your photos lets us plan the trip before we arrive.
Local Conditions
The ground around Basehor is rolling upland, with loess on many of the hills and clay-rich soils beneath, typical of northeast Kansas north of the Kansas River. Loess is a fine, windblown silt that is firm when dry but can lose strength and compress when it becomes saturated. Clay layers below it swell and shrink with moisture. Together they make for ground that moves with the seasons.
In newer subdivisions, lots were graded from hilly farmland, with high spots cut down and low spots filled. Fill placed around foundations and under driveway approaches consolidates for years. Homes built on the filled side of a lot, or with walk-out basements, tend to see the most settling at the garage apron, the front walk and the back patio.
Surface water does the rest. Downspouts that discharge onto the driveway or beside the stoop, and yards that still slope toward the house after construction, put water right where slabs are most vulnerable. Freeze-thaw cycles then widen the gaps each winter. We point out those water issues when we review a job.

Common Basehor Projects
Every slab is different, so we start with what is happening at your property. These are the repairs Basehor property owners ask us about most.
On newer Basehor homes, the panel nearest the garage usually sits on the loosest soil on the lot. When it drops, it leaves a lip at the door and can send water back toward the garage. Lifting brings it back into line with the floor.
Homes in golf-course neighborhoods like Falcon Lakes often have large patios facing the course. When the concrete settles toward the house, lifting the low side helps restore drainage away from the foundation and keeps the space usable.
Walks that run along the front of the house to the stoop sit on backfill and often tilt toward the foundation. Raising them restores a level path and sends water away from the wall instead of against it.
Backyard pool decks in newer neighborhoods can settle unevenly as the backfill around the pool compresses. Where the deck is intact, foam can raise sunken sections and help water drain away from the pool and the house.
Our Basehor Leveling Process
Text a wide shot, close-ups of the low joints, a tape measure showing the drop, and the address.
We look at the settlement, slab condition, and drainage, and follow up with a quote or questions.
On the day of the repair we drill small access holes at planned points across the settled slab.
Expanding polyurethane fills the voids and raises the concrete gradually while we watch the transitions.
Ports are patched, the area is cleaned, and the surface can usually be used again soon after.

Basehor Concrete Leveling FAQ
Loess is a fine, silty soil deposited by wind long ago, and it is common in the hills of northeast Kansas, including around Basehor. It holds up well when dry but can soften and compress when soaked. Under a slab, that means water from downspouts or poor grading can lead to settling. Foam fills the voids that form, and keeping water away from slabs helps prevent new ones.
No. Basehor is well within our service area on the Kansas side of the metro. Text us photos of the concrete along with your address, and we can review the project and follow up with a quote. Scheduling depends on the size of the job and our calendar, and we will give you a realistic idea of timing when we follow up.
If the patio has settled toward the house, lifting the low side can restore slope away from the foundation, which often solves the pooling. How much slope we can achieve depends on the slab, the door threshold and the surrounding grades. If roof water is dumping onto the patio, extending the downspouts matters too. We will tell you what is realistic before we start.
Sometimes. Raising a patio, walk, or driveway panel that settled toward the house can restore some pitch away from the foundation. Drainage also depends on gutters, downspouts, and surrounding grades, so we point out anything that is likely to undo the repair.
Polyfoam lifting uses small access ports, much smaller than the holes used for traditional mudjacking. The number and placement depend on the slab. After the lift, the ports are patched.
Pricing depends on the size of the slab, how far it has settled, how much void space is underneath, access, and how many areas need work, so we do not publish a flat price. Text photos, rough measurements, and your Basehor address and we can usually provide a remote quote. Leveling is often far less disruptive than tearing out and replacing a slab that is still usable.
